Terms and Conditions for Service Providers on the Valo App

VALO is a smart application owned by Al-Baz for E-Commerce LLC, an Omani limited liability company. The app aims to connect hotels, chalets, farms, and heritage homes with consumers to provide a smart and rewarding booking experience based on the principle of “value in every booking.” To list your services on the VALO platform, please read and agree to the following terms and conditions.

Definitions:

  • App or Platform: Refers to the VALO application.

  • Service Provider: Refers to all owners of tourist properties who register their properties to offer their services through the app.

1. Registration and Use:

  • Service providers must register on the app and provide accurate and truthful information about their services.

  • The service provider bears full responsibility for all submitted data and any consequences resulting from inaccurate information.

2. Obligations of Service Providers:

  • Deliver high-quality services in line with VALO’s standards, and ensure all listed property details are accurate and updated.

  • It is strictly prohibited to cancel bookings to redirect clients outside the platform.

  • The app is not responsible for content published by service providers, who bear full responsibility for their listings.

3. Payments and Transfers:

  • Commission Fees:

    • If the nightly rate is below OMR 23: commission is OMR 1.5

    • If the nightly rate is between OMR 23–50: commission is OMR 3

    • If the nightly rate is above OMR 50: commission is OMR 5

  • Payment Gateway Fees:

    • Credit cards or international cards: 2.5%

    • Debit cards inside Oman: 1.5%

  • Payments are transferred within 14–20 days from the booking completion date.

  • The app reserves the right to suspend the provider's dashboard in case of payment delays.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

  • The service provider is responsible for clearly defining their cancellation and refund policy.

  • The provider will bear the cost of any late cancellation, in accordance with VALO’s policies.

5. Booking System:

  • Bookings are not confirmed until the provider receives a notification and accepts the request.

  • Once the provider accepts a request, the booking becomes binding.

  • If the provider fails to fulfill the booking, VALO has the right to apply suitable penalties to preserve user trust.

  • The service provider is responsible for paying the commission on every confirmed booking.

6. Confidentiality and Data Protection:

  • Customer data must remain confidential and only used to fulfill the service.

  • Data may not be shared with third parties unless strictly necessary and in line with legal requirements.

7. Disclaimer:

  • VALO acts solely as a booking intermediary and is not responsible for service quality.

  • Service providers are responsible for ensuring that all information matches reality.

  • VALO may assist in resolving disputes but holds no legal liability.

8. Penalties:

  • VALO reserves the right to suspend or permanently delete provider accounts in case of violations.

9. Termination of Partnership:

  • A prior written notice must be submitted by either party before termination.

  • The provider must honor all pending bookings prior to ending the partnership.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:

  • These terms are subject to the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.

  • Disputes shall be resolved before the competent Omani courts.
